About the volunteering opportunity
Our senior horses need to be cared for on a daily basis. Likewise, our grounds must be maintained and minor repairs made.
Your Tasks
We need assistance with the care of our senior horses. The duties include feeding in the morning, preparing feed, distributing hay, taking four horses to the pasture, and mucking out boxes. In the evening, the duties would include feeding, preparing feed, distributing hay, bedding stalls, and bringing four horses back into the stable.
We all take care of the horses, but you are welcome to help. Daily grooming and hoof care are also a part of the routine.
If there's enough time in the morning or evening, we also take short walks in the neighboring forest.
What's needed
Since we can provide the care of our 12 horses exclusively through the help of volunteers at all, who take over the above tasks daily, reliability is a prerequisite for all of us.
Each is dependent on the assistance of the other, as in the morning and evening at the moment 2-3 helpers take over the tasks.
To ensure that there is more time for all the horses, we need more support here. This can also mean to take over every 2 weeks 3-4 hours in a morning or afternoon.

Time required
Our horses are supplied mogens and afternoons and that daily. Since we take care of older animals whose feed portions are prepared, reliable help is important here.
As far as scheduling is concerned, we are flexible. We need assistance in the mornings and afternoons.
We start in the mornings between 8:00 am and 9:00 am and in the afternoons from 3:00 pm.
Whether once a week or on several days.
You have no experience with horses, no problem. We offer regular free classes for our helpers to learn the basics and beyond.
