Volunteers wanted for one-to-one support at elementary school

The team of socio-educational one-to-one support at elementary school has made it its mission to give primary school children moments of relief and enjoyment. They play, do handicrafts, romp, laugh and chat together - always based on the child's current needs.

Fortunately, we have been able to expand our services since this fall and have gained a 3rd elementary school. We are currently represented at the following Bonn elementary school: Bernhardschule, Jahnschule and GGS Jahnschule.

Further training and pedagogical support are provided by the DKSB Bonn.

Your Tasks

45 minutes of supervision time with a fixed child at a fixed time during school hours (usually Tuesday-Thursday) plus preparation and brief documentation of the lesson.

What's needed

Empathy and the ability to deal sensitively with children in difficult situations.
Reliability that the children can rely on.

Important notice

Further training and pedagogical support are provided by the DKSB Bonn! The full-time employees of the DKSB are always available as contact persons, in addition there are:

1x monthly team meeting (exchange on work with the children and pedagogical support by the full-time employees and the experience of the entire team) Duration: 2 hours

Supervision 4 times a year, 2 hours each (professional advice on topics and situations that arise from working with the children with the aim of reflecting on one's own actions)
