1 I Share your joy of nature with children and parents in an educational garden project

With the “garden clubs”, QuerWaldEin e.V. has created a community garden project for children and parents in which nature can be experienced up close. The joint work in the nature is meant to convey socially and ecologically sustainable thinking and acting.
Do you have a green thumb and want to join in for the start of the gardening season? Then support the team now in its diverse activities and project ideas – from building raised garden beds to sowing plants to preparing fresh food straight from the garden.
2 I Support the AWO food distribution in Porz
BASIC GERMAN SKILLS REQUIRED
Do you like to help out and enjoy getting in touch with people? Then the AWO Kreisverband Köln is looking forward to your support at the food distribution in Porz. As a volunteer you can help once a week with the preparation and distribution of the food. The food is served outside with a mask and distance, so fully Corona complient. If you feel that this is for you, get in touch.
3 I Support the training of the integrative football team HOPE U19
MEDIUM GERMAN SKILLS REQUIRED
Team HOPE U19 is the youth football team of the RheinFlanke success programme HOPE. In cooperation with the traditional Cologne club Arminia 09, the team has been taking part in official play in the district league since the 2016 season.
Are you a football enthusiast and would like to be part of the club’s history? Then you can regularly support the training and match operations as a volunteer and, if desired, take on planning tasks. If you want, you can also organise and lead individual parts of the training sessions on your own.
4 I Do rickshaw tours with elderly people and get to know exciting life stories
ADVANCED GERMAN SKILLS REQUIRED
The Radeln ohne Alter Initiative (Cycling without Age initiative) was founded in Denmark in 2012 and is now a permanent fixture in over fifty countries worldwide. They want to share the joy of a bike ride with people who can no longer pedal on their own.
As a rickshaw driver, you take senior citizens on tours of about 1 hour in the close and attractive surroundings of one of the 15 rickshaw locations. You get to talk to the elderly passengers and can exchange life stories with them. At the same time, you get some fresh air and do something for your fitness. So what are you waiting for?
5 I Become a sponsor for a child in care and accompany them on a long-term basis on their path.
MEDIUM GERMAN SKILLS REQUIRED
The Kölner Kreidekreis forges sponsorships between children in care who have no (or irregular) contact with their family of origin and adult companions in order to provide the children with a fixed and constant point of contact outside the home.
You are patient, have a good eye for children and young people and can imagine becoming a long-term caregiver for a growing child? Then register now at the Kölner Kreidekreis, become a companion and give a child orientation and a bit of certainty. Contact with the child should take place about every 14 days and you can arrange your meetings according to your own needs and undertake activities together.
