Ticket distribution for free cultural events to people with low income

You are part of a team of 2 or 3 who regularly offer the people waiting at distribution stations of the Münchner Tafel a chance to take part in cultural activities. You draw attention to our association, handle registrations as a KulturGast, point out various cultural events, which are in general free of charge, and, equipped with a laptop and internet, arrange tickets for theatre, concerts, cinema etc. directly on site.

Your Tasks

Each on-site mediation team is always assigned to a fixed location - this creates trust and closeness. The registration and mediation activities on site are carried out with the help of our software KULT, which contains all information - about tickets and events, about our guests and their areas of interest. Occasionally, organisational support is required from artists' and cultural initiatives who, for example, make musical offers for our guests to join in.

What's needed

• Fun and respect in personal conversation with our guests.
• PC and Internet skills.
• Interest in culture and people.
• Independent and self-reliant way of working, reliable, regular and long-term availability, internal communication by e-mail.
• With pleasure also extended language skills e.g. in Arabic, Bavarian, Turkish or Russian.

Important notice

About 60 volunteers support KulturRaum München e.V. with the distribution of non-sold tickets for cultural events to people with low incomes. Our guests are people in the area of Munich who live with little or no income. These include above all people without work, single-parent families, low-income families, people affected by poverty, children and adolescents, as well as people with a migrant background. People of all ages and levels of education can be our guests. We want to give them the opportunity, irrespective of their income, to visit theaters, concerts or cabarets and to participate in the cultural life of the city. With the help of volunteers and our cultural and social partners, we can constantly expand our offer to reach as many people as possible in the city. With KulturKinder München, for example, we specifically address families and social institutions that look after children. Young people can book their own maps through the website www.kulturkick.de and visit KulturPaten for Munich together with refugees and people with disabilities cultural events. Not to forget the online calendar EINTRITT.FREI on kulturraum-muenchen.de, which announces free events throughout the city.
