About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for support for our piano, which is located in a shelter for refugees in Munich East. It is regularly used for voluntary piano lessons with children, but urgently needs to be tuned. The detuning is now clearly affecting playing, so professional tuning would be particularly important.
There are also some minor defects: individual keys no longer work properly or have lost their weighting and need to be repaired.
Unfortunately, we lack both the necessary expertise and the financial means for a professional repair.
As the piano will continue to be actively used - for making music together and in everyday life - we would be very happy if someone could be found to help us with tuning and minor repairs on a voluntary basis.
