About the volunteering opportunity
Many plant species in the Heidelandschaft in the north of Munich are particularly light-requiring. In order to preserve them, the particularly vigorous willows in some areas of the Südliche Fröttmaninger Heide nature reserve, which quickly form shade, need to be cut back.
Your Tasks
Cut back willows with rose shears, hand saws and loppers.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Normal physical fitness.
What to bring
Sturdy shoes, your own gloves if available and pruning shears or similar cutting tools.
