About the volunteering opportunity
FOODPrint is a European collaboration of six youth and sustainability organizations working together to reduce food waste and promote conscious consumption among young people.
The project is coordinated by Stichting MasterPeace (Netherlands) with partners from Germany (GrowUnited), Romania (MasterPeace RO), Slovakia (EDU4U), North Macedonia (Center for Intercultural Dialogue), and Greece (Institute of Entrepreneurship Development).
FOODPrint empowers youth to become “Future Food Influencers” by combining sustainability, creativity, and innovation. Activities include educational workshops, eco-labelling in schools and restaurants, food-waste awareness events, and creative campaigns such as the Great Europe Bake Off Challenge.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us in promoting sustainable food habits and reducing waste. Volunteers will help organize community activities, assist with eco-labelling research, support awareness events, and engage other young people through creative communication and social media.
By joining FOODPrint, you’ll gain hands-on experience in sustainability, connect with motivated changemakers across Europe, and make a real difference in building a more responsible and eco-conscious food culture.

Your Tasks
As a volunteer, you can help us turn ideas into impact!
You’ll contribute to:

- Supporting local awareness campaigns on food waste and sustainable diets.
- Assisting in Food Eco-Labelling surveys in canteens, supermarkets, and cafes.
- Helping organize community cooking or “Bake Off” events.
- Creating visual or digital content for awareness and outreach.
- Supporting logistics, setup, and documentation of activities.
Through your involvement, you’ll join a vibrant European network that connects youth across borders to take real action on sustainability.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
- Interest in sustainability and reducing food waste.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and motivated.
- Intermediate /Fluent English (other languages welcome).
- No experience needed — training provided.
Time required
Project-based
On weekdays, on weekends, during the day
Flexible and ongoing. Activities run locally and online.
Important notice
- Join an international youth network for sustainability!
- Receive training, a participation certificate, and the chance to join events across Europe.
- Travel costs for local activities will be covered.
