About the volunteering opportunity
The mentoring project is aimed at young people who are enrolled in a dual vocational training program and are facing challenges in successfully completing their training. Many trainees feel overwhelmed by the high demands placed on them and drop out of their training early. Our goal is to help these young people ensure their success in their training and prevent them from dropping out.

- Free training and workshops for mentors, with a certificate
- Support and guidance throughout the project from dedicated project coordinators (Nils Wöhrle)
- Regular mentor coaching sessions
- Joint events (e.g., Christmas party, summer festival)
- Certificate of participation for volunteer work on the project
- Volunteer ID card
Your Tasks
As a mentor, you serve as a point of contact for teenagers and young adults in dual vocational training. Your responsibilities as a mentor are primarily based on the goals your mentee is working toward and the agreed-upon topics.

- Understanding the trainees’ perspectives
- Serving as a trusted, neutral point of contact
- Sharing personal knowledge and experience during regular meetings
- Providing support during times of uncertainty and when facing unfamiliar challenges
- Helping them help themselves—to solve problems independently.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

Individual support typically takes place every 14 days. The volunteer work is project-based and can be arranged flexibly. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to provide regular support. Communication can take place in person, by phone, or via email, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.
