About the volunteering opportunity
We’re looking for volunteers to help with a bottle and can collection drive to benefit War Child on July 11 at a Michael Patrick Kelly concert at the Bremen Racetrack. War Child will be there as a charity partner.
With every cup you collect, you’ll be helping to support children and young people affected by war and displacement. The donations collected will go toward our evidence-based programs, which focus on protection, psychosocial support, and education for affected children and young people.
Your Tasks
- Promotion at the deposit stations: Actively engage guests and explain how they can help by returning their deposits
- Collect cups, count them, and return them to the bar
- Have fun with people and strike up conversations
- Openness and a genuine enjoyment of talking with people
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

War Child Germany was founded in 2019 as a social startup in Hamburg. With a focus on psychosocial support, education and child protection, the NGO develops programs whose effectiveness is scientifically proven.
