About the volunteering opportunity
We manage orchard meadows in Wolfsburg. Each orchard meadow is a biotope that, on the one hand, promotes biodiversity—for example, among insects and birds—and, on the other hand, preserves old fruit varieties that are no longer used in commercial fruit farming as a gene pool.
Your Tasks
- Applying Compost to Young Trees
- Placing variety labels
- Trimming, inspecting, and cleaning birdhouses
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Enjoying nature and enjoying physical work.
Time required
Once
We need 4 to 6 people. The session will last 3 to 4 hours. The specific date will be determined by mutual agreement.
Important notice
Families with children are also welcome.
Since we'll be out in the orchard during harvest season, you're of course welcome to pick and taste some fruit there!
