About the volunteering opportunity
Would you like to volunteer your time, energy, and good spirits while exploring the Hamburg area? Then our outings are just the thing for you
Our bus trips have been very popular for many years. Seniors living alone, in particular, appreciate the opportunity to get out and about, make new connections, and share new experiences together.
We’re looking for more dedicated volunteers to help organize the trips in Hamburg and the surrounding area together with our existing group and to take turns accompanying the group.

Location:
The outings start at Langenhorner Markt. Planning meetings take place approximately once a quarter at Langenhorner Markt or at our office in Barmbek.
Your Tasks
Your responsibilities:
- You’ll research excursion destinations and plan the visit on-site
- You’ll accompany the outings you’ve planned along with other volunteers and oversee the activities on-site
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
What you bring to the table:
- You enjoy working with seniors, are outgoing, and reliable
- You enjoy organizing and planning the outing program

On weekdays, during the day
Timeframe:
- Planning the outings: approx. 3–4 hours per month
- Accompanying the outings: about 8 hours every 2–3 months

Voluntary help and activities take place regionally in the neighborhood . We complement the voluntary work with varied offers such as first aid courses, local meeting places, our home emergency call and the newly founded second hand store. Our goal is to reach all people, to help people in need in an uncomplicated way and to create interesting offers for all generations. Maybe there is also something for you.
