"Die Innere Mission" helps people with a migration background. Whether as first aid for refugees and asylum seekers or through useful offers for migrants already living in Munich with permanent residence. The employees of our social and migration services often know the challenges from their own experience. They know where to start in order to begin a new life in a foreign country.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in taking over a mentorship. The mentorship will be arranged individually and is flexible in time.

For the group accommodation in Laim we are looking for mentors, especially for single mothers and families who need support in everyday life. Conceivable are, for example, joint activities or regular mutual visits, help with questions about life in Munich or everyday work, possibly accompanying them to offices, authorities and doctors, practising German together or support in childcare, etc. The areas of work and the time available are to be arranged flexibly.

For voluntary work, we require an extended certificate of good conduct in accordance with § 30 (5) of the Federal Central Register Act for inspection.

Please note: For this volunteering opportunity, you need German skills on the level „Medium German skills“.
