Are you already working as a mediator and do you enjoy passing on this knowledge to young people?
We are looking for you for the mediation training at the Evangelische Schule Cottbus, a model project that was developed with the Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder).
You will train pupils in the 7th-11th grades in groups of maximum 14 people according to a developed concept in dealing with conflicts and conflict mediation with means and methods of mediation.
The project comprises a total of 6 fixed days per school year in the following distribution:
7th grade: one day
9th grade: two consecutive days
10th grade: one day
11th grade: two consecutive days
...you can imagine working with children and young people,
...you are willing to participate in pupils as a learning group and a learning environment based on Christian values (your own worldview is not important)
...are willing to travel to Cottbus on 6 fixed days a year (also easily accessible by train from Berlin)
Please note: For this volunteering opportunity, you need German skills on the level „Advanced German skills“.
The commitment takes place at the Evangelisches Gymnasium Cottbus, Elisabeth-Wolf-Straße 31A, 03042 Cottbus.
Financial expenses, such as travel expenses, will be reimbursed.
The curriculum and teaching materials for preparation will be provided.
Supervision and exchange with the team is as much a part of your commitment as close contact with the school.
Your support is needed on a long-term basis.
