Protecting urban nature: On the trail of the birds
They breed in niches, under overhangs or in nesting aids in built-up areas and are thus in our immediate vicinity - we are talking about building nesting birds. As cultural successors, swifts, house sparrows and othersbringnatureright to our homes and live among us. However, modern building designs, insulation measures or the fight against urban pigeons are making it increasingly difficult for building nesting birds to find suitable nesting sites.
The LBV protects and creates nesting opportunities for building nesting birds, informs about them and records the occurrence of important species across the region of Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen.
You also want to do something for our feathered friends in the region? Then get in touch to receive further information. As soon as meetings are possible again, we offer guided tours where you will be trained. If you have previous knowledge, you can also start directly, we will deal with you individually!
