So far, ZeSaBo has distributed around 250,000 items a year to 391 registered recipients, who, according to their own information, have used them to provide for 26,758 fellow human beings in need or crisis. The numbers are already and will drastically increase due to the flood disaster.
In order to secure the unimaginable volume of donations and to stockpile them in such a way that we are always able to distribute them as needed, we need many helping hands to check, sort and store used goods.
In the first step it is e.g. about freeing the clothes from the "garbage" and sorting out everything that is - unwashed - dirty - damaged - washed out - worn out - linty - strongly perfumed - with worn out elastics - with missing buttons - with broken zippers - with real animal hair fur elements or with personalized clothing (name tags or identification of a wearer).
The second step is article sorting and the last step is sizing and storage.
Since everything is labelled and described in German, we consider a B2 language knowledge to be at least necessary.
We do not have any further prerequisite.
We always give an introduction to the work at the beginning and are always available for queries.
We focus on quality and not on quantity.
We all do good and we always want to have fun doing it too!
The non-profit Zentrallager Sachspenden Bonn (ZeSaBo) accepts donations in kind such as clothing, shoes, bed and bath linen, kitchen utensils and hygiene products from private and commercial donors and provides them free of charge to private and institutional orderers who care for fellow human beings.
ZeSaBo relieves and supports all private and institutional distributors and committed people who distribute material goods to fellow human beings who are in crisis. We take care of appeals for donations, acceptance of donations, quality control, sorting and storage. The private and institutional purchasers can help themselves free of charge and according to need from our stock of goods simply and at any time.More about the organisation
