More appreciation for nature and food - that's what Acker e. V. is working for with its award-winning educational programs GemüseAckerdemie and AckerRacker.

With a growing community of over 300 AckerCoaches, we are already successfully working in 900 daycare centers and schools throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria. For 2022 we are looking for reinforcement. Support us in changing education sustainably. For a generation that knows what it eats.

Your Tasks

Your commitment

• Accompany places of learning with professional advice and action during planting.
• Share valuable tips on growing vegetables with teachers and children.
• Help out in the field during the season.
• Expand your knowledge of organic vegetable production with our training courses.

Your harvest

• receive a fair expense allowance as an exercise leader allowance (§ 3 No. 26 EStG)
• Experience a sense of achievement in nature with happy children and teachers
• Get further education in free advanced trainings
• Receive a written confirmation of your commitment
• Become part of a growing community

What's needed

Your requirements

• A commitment to more appreciation of nature and food gives you pleasure
• You enjoy guiding and working together with adults and children
• Good organisation, reliability and initiative are a matter of course for you
• Regionally, the possession of a driver's license and the willingness to drive your own vehicle is advantageous
• Before your first assignment, you must apply for an extended certificate of good conduct (free of charge)
• In the interest of the health of all participants in our educational programs, you will of course implement applicable rules on pandemic control

Time required

The season starts in March and lasts until October. It's great if you have 2-3 hours of time during the day on a regular basis during this time. Since schools and daycare centers participate in our GemüeseAckerdemie, AckerRacker and Gemüseklasse programs, the dates are usually during the week.

The non-profit association was founded in 2014 by Dr. Christoph Schmitz. In 2021, the name of the association was changed from Ackerdemia e. V. to Acker e. V.
