About the volunteering opportunity
At Autarcique e.V. you are sustainably engaged for people in Togo (Africa). We fight poverty, promote health and climate protection.
Following will promote concrete your contribution:
- Help to self-help through a sound practical training in the field of Bio-Landwirtschat and entrepreneurship
- Bio- food and other products
- Contribution to food security of the country
- Education : about dangers of chemical pesticides and conventional agriculture
- Support for conversion to organic agriculture and entrepreneurship
- Place for dialogue and exchange on agriculture
- Find solution to some essential needs of people in the area. E.g. access to drinking water
- Creation of direct and indirect jobs
Current situation in Togo:
- High unemployment of youth, often even if they are classically well educated. Since there is little industry and thus little employment opportunity for university graduates
- Organic agriculture has become an exception. Few offers of organic products, at the same time the demand for them is also increasing in Togo.
- There is too much chemical pesticide use. The prescribed dosages are far exceeded and in the applications, the farmers usually do not wear protective equipment. Diseases are pre-programmed
- While there is no good health care in the country
Your Tasks
Currently we are looking for someone who knows Wordpress. At the current time we are pursuing the goal of our current website on wix in Wordpress and to make it more attractive on occasion.
In addition, it would be helpful, but not a prerequisite, if you have knowledge of editing videos.

For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
