We are looking for (only) female trainers and childminders who are keen to join our Bike & Belong course for women with refugee and/or migration experiences In one course circ 12-14 participants and 8-10 trainers meet.
The childcare workers play with the children while their mothers learn how to ride a bike.
The trainers prepare one training session each with the help of a training manual, are present at every course date (circa 8x) if possible and give the participants assistance with cycling.
In addition the volunteers are cordially invited to participate in the supporting program (excursions, events, etc.)
You need basic knowledge of German for this commitment.
You do not need to bring any previous knowledge... we are happy if you are motivated and in a good mood!
There is a train-the-trainer workshop beforehand. There, all the important information is conveyed, questions are discussed and a few practical exercises are carried out.
The courses last approximately eight weeks and take place 1x a week for two hours, usually in the late afternoon (so a total of 8x2 hours per course).
There are two parallel courses (one on Tuesdays, one on Wednesdays). On both days, the offerings will take place from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
The train-the-trainer workshop will take place on a Saturday and will last approximately 4 hours.
We are looking for female coaches.
We use cycling as a tool to create encounters between refugees, people with migration experience and the local population. We want to bring people together and strengthen togetherness.
