Currently we continue to provide absolute emergency aid. Humanitarian care of refugees in shelters in private housing, shuttling of refugees, utilities in the city.
But to do so we must also e.g.. Food shopping, drive to the dump, it's a lot to do.
And if no driving mission is, then you are part of the team House R and help out, whether it's serving food, in kind donations, counseling (do not worry, together we can do it), at the reception or in the clothing store. There is always something to do.
And so that we can do this work, we need volunteer supporters with a driver's license.
Whoever is interested in helping out can sign up here.
We look forward to seeing you!
We of Moabit helps offer emergency help in all of Berlin. This means, for example, if at a hostel - which now hardly offer towels - spontaneously 100 people are accommodated and we receive their call for help, there must be a spontaneous driver and language mediation in the house R, which pack up the needed goods and bring with those goods to them.
While we receive calls from dance schools, hotels, etc. we also have to bring people from A to B (within Berlin) or we have to go shopping. There are so many different reasons that we have to jump in quickly. This can happen several times a day or less, it can happen in the morning or in the afternoon. Of course, we have no influence on when there is an emergency. But when it does, we want to be able to help quickly. And for that the driver team is there, which can register here on vostel.de .
So long as no emergency is reported, you are part of the team in house R
Please refer to our website for more information. Since the situation is currently very dynamic, we ask you to be flexible and spontaneous. Depending on the needs that arise on a daily basis, you may also be needed with us for other activities outside of driving.
You will need a driver's license. We will provide the vehicle.
Please check out our website for information about our activities before you sign up. We regularly post the most up-to-date information here.
We have been campaigning since 2013 as an active citizens' initiative for the protection of persecuted persons and refugees according to the Geneva Refugee Convention. Our goal is help for self-help, we work at eye level with the refugees and also demand this from authorities.
