About the volunteering opportunity
We offer regular homework supervision for children. Here the children are supported in a 1 to 1 supervision in various subjects. Currently we have several children from grade 1 to grade 9 who need support. Some of them do not receive sufficient support at home and have difficulties in finding their place in everyday school life.

Where?
Artists for Kids gGmbH
ARTISTS FOR KIDS was founded in 1999 by the film producers Bernd Eichinger and Thomas Peter Friedl to directly support children and young people in need in Munich. Numerous personalities such as Nina Eichinger, Katja Eichinger, Doris Dörrie, Michael Bully Herbig or Katrin Lux are also actively involved in ARTISTS FOR KIDS and, with support from the business world, have built up a very effective network for disadvantaged children, young people and families. In close cooperation with and on behalf of the Youth Welfare Office, our 20-person pedagogical team continuously looks after more than 120 children and young people in need every year. In addition to acute crisis and emergency aid, longer-term aid programmes are developed which enable the children and young people to obtain a good school diploma, a successful vocational training and an independent life. In 2013, thanks to numerous donations, we were able to complete the construction of our own rural base in the Allgäu region, which we can now use intensively for our holiday trips, ecological education programmes and school projects. Further information about the project can be found at: www.artists-for-kids.de.
