About the volunteering opportunity

As a Volunteer Language Teacher you will…
Support Kiron’s collaborative program with Lingoda that emerged as a response to the war in Ukraine, by giving German language classes to refugees. It is a rewarding, fun & hands-on voluntary social engagement for the public good, creating true impact by breaking down one of the greatest barriers refugees are facing when they try to start a new life in Germany, which is the lack of language skills.

Your Tasks

As a volunteer language teacher, you will be giving live German language classes to refugees on A1 and A2 level. The classes happen from Monday-Friday between 10.00-16.00 and you would be committing as much of your time as you can, with a minimum of 2 hours/week.
The language classes are designed by Lingoda in a “ready-to-be-picked-up” format, so that you will only need to coordinate your availability with the Lingoda volunteer language coordinator, and then deliver the classes through Zoom. At the beginning of the program, Kiron will provide you with a short training on safeguarding and data protection, to ensure that the students can learn in a safe environment.
