About the volunteering opportunity

On the night of June 22, homeless people across Berlin will be surveyed and counted to gather important insights into the extent of homelessness. With these insights, better support services can be created and policy solutions can be found to combat involuntary homelessness.

Your Tasks

In a team of 3 people and a team leader, the volunteers walk through a defined area of Berlin. If homeless people are encountered here, the volunteers write down the number of people. If the homeless person agrees, five anonymous questions about gender, age, origin, duration of homelessness and household status are to be asked. These answers must be noted by the volunteers for evaluation.

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

Volunteers should:

  • be at least 18 years old
