About the volunteering opportunity

Learn and live tolerance: With Colored Glasses, YFU offers workshops against discrimination and for a diversity-conscious and open society throughout Germany in all types of schools from 5th grade. The workshops are conducted in teams of 2-3 volunteers aged 16 and older. For this we are looking for enthusiastic young people with a desire to get involved!

Topics include raising awareness of cultural differences and dealing with identity, prejudice, stereotyping and discrimination. Human rights, flight and the like can also be dealt with - the schools choose the focus and the volunteers design the content.

To give workshops, you will be thoroughly prepared by us. Trainings go over a weekend and take place regularly. In addition, there are further training, partly also as webinars.

With us, not only the workshops are given by volunteers, but the whole program is carried and designed by volunteers. We also look forward to support in this regard:

The CG Board is responsible for overarching tasks. In a monthly video call, project proposals, finances, marketing, events and content strategies are discussed to continue the sustainable presence and activity of Colored Glasses. The board is supported by a full-time staff member. Become part of the board - even without previous workshop experience.

Instagram, Facebook and our blog are important mainstays to make foundations aware of us, to get in touch with (potential) volunteers and to further spread the idea behind Colored Glasses. To ensure that we can continue to maintain a good online presence with regular postings & blog contributions, we are looking for you! Become part of the public relations team.
