ReDI School Munich is looking for volunteers eager to help refugees increase their employability by learning new tech skills. Courses in need of volunteers include:
- Computer Science
- Backend Development
- Data Analytics
- UX/UI Design
Volunteers are expected to review/improve existing teaching material as well as teach said material to students during weekday evening sessions. The expectations is that they teach 3 times per month between March and June 2023.
You do not need to have teaching experience to volunteer at ReDI School Munich. The only requirement is that you are well-versed in the topic you are teaching. This means you have either taken courses in said topic or work with the above-listed coding languages.
The ReDI spring semester will last from March 13-June 15 2023. It is expected that volunteers donate 10-12 hours per month. These 12 hours are divided between preparing material (4-6 hours) and teaching material to students (6 hours divided over 3 sessions).
You can volunteer in English, Ukrainian, or Russian.
If you volunteer in English, your classroom will consist of mix of students from Ukraine and other countries.
If you volunteer in Ukrainian or Russian, your classroom will consist only of Ukrainian refugees.
ReDI Munich offers free technical education courses to newcomers to the city. We want to ensure that refugees, migrants and immigrants can integrate into German society and the job market.More about the organisation
