About the volunteering opportunity
We are especially interested in finding volunteers dedicated to diversity and inclusion within the tech industry. Whatever your skill set, if you believe all immigrants and refugees deserve a chance to thrive in tech, then ReDI is the place for you!
Your Tasks
Volunteers overee 5 2-hour sessions. This means preparing the material and teaching the material either on campus (near Ostbahnhof) or on ZOOM.
What's needed
There are no set prerequisites.
Volunteer knowledge is dependent on the course they choose to teach.
Time required
Volunteers at ReDI Munich will help students learn new technical skills during the semester, 100% free of charge.
The volunteers are scheduled to teach 5 two-hour sessions during the semester (approximately 3 months).
Topics to be taught include:
- How to browse the internet safely
- How to send email, manage your inbox
- How to use ZOOM and other virtual meeting platforms
- how to use MS office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Web design (UX/UI)
- Programming with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or Python
