About the volunteering opportunity

In our dormitory live children and teenagers who unfortunately still have to wait for a regular school place and urgently need help in learning German - speaking, reading, writing.  The children are of primary school age (6-14 years).

Your Tasks

You will help the children to acquire basic knowledge of the German language and to learn the German letters. If you have your own teaching material available, that's great, but you are also welcome to ask our staff for it. We teach in small groups or individually, depending on what suits you and the kids best

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

You should have good to very good knowledge of German. Ideally, you have experience in the educational field and know about literacy. You need an extended certificate of good conduct for this volunteering opportunity, which you can apply with our help.

Time required

Regularly
Approx. 2 hours per week.

For this commitment, we would like someone who would like to support the children in their learning on a regular basis and over a longer period of time (3-12 months). Preferably weekly with about 2 hours.

Important notice

The 3G rule currently applies to this volunteering opportunity. In our house there is still the mask obligation.
