About the volunteering opportunity
Are you looking for a responsible and exciting task where you will get to know many people? The Children's and Youth Hospital Auf der Bult is a hospital in Hanover specialising in the treatment of children and adolescents. It is a teaching hospital of the Hannover Medical School and is located in the Bult district. More than 50,000 young patients are cared for and treated each year.
A guidance service helps patients and visitors to find their way around the hospital.
Your Tasks
BULT Guides escort parents and children to the desired destination in the children's hospital. When mothers or fathers are looking for the emergency room, a special outpatient clinic or ward with their sick children, they are often nervous and tense.
In this "stressful situation" parents and patients are very grateful for BULT Guides. These show them the right way and stand reassuringly to the side. At the same time, they can also answer many a question.
What's needed
- BULT Guides should be open-minded and approached to other people.
- A broadened police clearance certificate and a health certificate from the doctor are required.
- Each BULT Guide gets to know the interesting and very special children's hospital AUF DER BULT in an "onboarding" event.
- Naturally, each BULT Guide is well prepared for his task.
- There are regular meetings where it comes to a lively exchange.
- In addition, the volunteer coordinator is available as a permanent contact person.
- Of course, there is insurance coverage.
Time required
Most BULT Guides commit themselves once or twice a week for two to three hours each. Their time allotment can be coordinated individually.
