About the volunteering opportunity
It's finally time again! We are once again looking for volunteers for the 27th Berlin Development Education Program (benbi) from 9 to 13 November 2026 at the FEZ Berlin. This year, everything revolves around the topic of participation and inclusion under the motto #globalgerechtgestalten.
Together with the FEZ, KATE is also coordinating a weekend of hands-on activities entitled "SpielWELTEN" Gemeinsam bunt & stark" from November 15 to 16. We are also looking for volunteers for this period.
What is the benbi?
The benbi takes place annually in the fall and is aimed at schoolchildren and teachers from Berlin. At its heart are 90-minute workshops on the annual theme, which are designed and run by NGOs and independent educational speakers for three age groups (3rd-6th, 7th-10th, 11th-13th grade). in 2026, benbi will take place from November 9-13 at the FEZ Berlin on the topic of participation and inclusion. KATE is coordinating the action week together with global learning associations and initiatives.
The benbi weekend is a cooperative event between KATE e.V. and the FEZ-Berlin and is based on the family weekends that regularly take place at the FEZ. Framed by a stage program, the children and their accompanying persons have the opportunity to visit various activities and immerse themselves in the topic of "Living together in a diverse world".
