Why is the password insecure?

The password you choose shows up in a database of stolen passwords. We know this because we match passwords with the online password security service Have I Been Pwned by default to ensure the security of our users' accounts.

What does that mean for you?

Criminals use computer programs to automatically try passwords from such databases on many different online services. For the security of your account, we therefore recommend that you use a different, unique password. You can find tips for secure passwords at the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
