bee4change e.V. is a social and non-profit organization with the mission to enable equal opportunities for disadvantaged groups in society through specially designed projects. Since the beginning of 2015, we have been involved in integration work with refugees, especially with refugee families, in Hamburg with our project beeMentor.
beeMentor aims to provide volunteer mentors to refugee families living in Hamburg who need support in various areas of life. This can be, for example, the accompaniment to visits to the authorities or to the doctor, help with translation, support in finding housing, in the application for a job or training, the joint undertaking of leisure activities, and much more.
Many of our volunteers have language skills in Dari, Pashto, Arabic or Farsi.

We are a non-profit organization and do not generate any income. The project beeMentor is funded by Vitamin P - a project of the Association for Intercultural Welfare, Empowerment and Diversity e.V., which is part of the federal program "Menschen stärken Menschen". This federal program is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
With our work, we want to create awareness that civil society engagement can bring about real positive change. Our goal is a world that is equal and just in terms of opportunity.
