Growing Cultures - Vielfalt durch Natur und Kultur

The project "Growing Cultures" aims to promote international understanding and nature conservation.

Guided tours through Johannapark Leipzig have been offered since autumn 2018. The park's trees serve as a visible point of contact and connection. It is very well suited for the project due to its great variety of trees as well as its familiarity and inner-city location. On one tour (approx. 90 min.) about 15-20 trees and their countries of origin will be explored. We will introduce Leipzig's connections to the countries, such as town twinning, cultural projects or other cultural similarities. Of course, the history of the park is not to be missed.
