Familienhörbuch gGmbH
The family audio book is aimed at terminally ill young parents with minor children who are undergoing palliative treatment. Together with them, we create a professional audio biography, which they leave behind for their children and relatives to help them deal with their grief after their death. The person goes, but the voice of mom or dad remains. The audiobook is free to participants. All family audiobooks are funded by donations. In 2019, the heart project of founder Judith Gruemmer became a gGmbh and more than 50 audio books were handed over to the families in 2020.

Funding
We are financed purely by donations. Participants and their relatives organize their own funding campaigns to collect for more audio books. We receive donations from companies, associations, funerals, social media campaigns and private donors.
Objectives
Our long-term goal is that the family listening book is recognized as a building block of grief support, coping and long-term mental health for the children and relatives and that health insurance companies cover part of these costs. We are accompanied on this path by palliative physicians of the University Hospital Bonn with studies.
