alinae lumr e.V.
We, the voluntary alínæ lumr e.V., consisting of Storkowers, exiled Storkowers with occasional homesickness and Berliners with a longing for the country, have grown together over the last four years. We are united
by the desire not to leave the idyllic city of 9,000 inhabitants to its seemingly economically and politically irreversible fate.

The last federal election shows that there has been an unbelievable shift to the right in eastern Germany, which is one more reason to take a trip back to the small town and spend a little time there. Because like other small towns in the state of Brandenburg, Storkow is also experiencing a painful structural change, which is causing people to move away, vacancies and unemployment. Together with all Storkow residents, we would like to ensure that a different experience becomes possible. We believe that it will help us all to see the small town and the country with different eyes and to hear it with different ears. The alínæ lumr festival lives from an unusual form of opening up the city: the festival guides visitors through the city and invites special international and national artists for a weekend in order to set a sign for the welcoming culture of the region. The alínæ lumr also stands for mutual recognition and a mutual exchange with each other beyond the event period and carries the guiding principle of "welcome culture instead of xenophobia". We consider this basic idea of the alínæ lumr festival to be more current and important than ever.
