These days circa 1,5 million dementia patients live in Germany. About 300.000 newly diagnosed cases occur year per year- and counting since life expectancy is rising. In order to help people suffering of dementia, the Alzheimer Gesellschaft München e.V. was founded in 1986. The team consits of active relatives, people with dementia as well as of experts from psychosocial nursind and medical field. The professionals advise people with dementia, relatives, their social environment as well as institutions on everything about dementia illness.
