NABU-Stiftung | Projekt Fairpachten
The biodiversity in our agricultural landscape is severely threatened. This is where the "Fairpachten" project comes in, offering free advice and information for anyone who leases agricultural land and wants more nature. Landowners can find out from Fairpachten how more nature conservation can be implemented on farmland, meadows and pastures in consultation with farmers.
Fairpachten already has a network of volunteers who support the project in many ways. They spread with us the idea to use one's land ownership actively for the protection of our kinds: Put out flyers, approach their mayor or church congregation about the possibility of conservation leasing, find great locations for our traveling exhibition, organize and give talks, actively spread the word about the offer in their networks, or support us in many other important tasks.
The NABU Foundation is involved in around 300 protected areas throughout Germany and preserves over 20,000 hectares of land in its ownership for nature.
