BENN Marzahn-Süd

BENN stands for "Berlin Develops New Neighborhoods" and is a program of the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing. It is implemented in close cooperation with the districts. There have been 16 BENN sites since 2022. The program has already been in place since 2018.

Through the BENN locations, neighborhood coexistence is to be strengthened and promoted. This happens, for example, by neighbors getting to know each other who otherwise would not. This also includes neighbors with refugee experience. For this purpose, the BENN team makes various offers, such as language cafés, joint activities in the district (e.g. design of green spaces, festivals) or cultural events.
