International Friendship Association (IFA) gGmbH
The Internationale Friendship Association (IFA) was founded in 2017 in Frankfurt am Main as a non-profit limited liability company (GmbH) and registered in the local commercial register.
The IFA gGmbH promotes intercultural inclusion as well as community-based development aid. The organization believes that people with a migration background and their families need to be supported so that their basic human rights are upheld. The focus of their work is on charitable purposes:
- Promotion of an international spirit, tolerance in all areas and the idea of international understanding;
- Promotion of development cooperation, especially with Ethiopia;
- Support of needy children and women, especially in Ethiopia.
The IFA supports the refugee community in Germany with the following activities, the expansion of which is planned:
- Cultural events such as seminars, conferences, trainings and forums to promote dialogue between migrants and German society;
- Intercultural integration and learning opportunities for refugees;
- Counseling and support services for refugees;
- Collaboration with communities, authorities, research institutes, government agencies, NGOs and charities to expand assistance services for refugees.
