In accordance with its statutes, ecotopia hannover eG wants to make a contribution to the energy and heat turnaround as well as the mobility and nutrition turnaround as a regional pioneer. 

It is a component of the bottom-up lighthouse project ecovillage hannover. The ecovillage hannover is a sufficiency quarter in the making and sets standards through a distinctive, volunteer-driven participation process as well as consistent holistic-ecological building with the goal of enabling sufficiency living and communal living for the cross-section of society.
