Kangaroo is a free support service aimed at all parents with children in their first year of life in Berlin-Lichtenberg. Kangaroo is intended to be a source of strength in the stressful everyday family life, so that the often exhausting arrival time of the new family member does not become an excessive burden.

Kangaroo arranges a godmother/ godfather for you, who will support you once a week for about three hours after the birth of your child for six to twelve months. The volunteers come to your home, get involved where they are needed and have an open ear. For example, they take over - depending on the individual agreement - the care of your baby or even older siblings, so that you can recharge your batteries.

In the run-up to such a mentorships, we arrange an appointment to get to know each other, so that your ideas and needs can be discussed. We look after you in the entire course of the mentorships.
