Save Me München
Save Me is a campaign that works for the humanitarian inclusion of refugees, notably through the UN Resettlement Programme. RESETTLEMENT Resettlement means the reception, i.e. the permanent resettlement of particularly vulnerable refugees who cannot be permanently integrated in the State where they have been seeking refuge, nor can they return to their country of origin in the foreseeable future. It is almost impossible for these people to take the strain of fleeing to seek protection in a safe state. The Resettlement Scheme provides them with the possibility of obtaining permanent protection in a safe and secure way in a third country willing to welcome them. The resettlement programme offers fugitives a safe alternative and prevents dangerous escapes and crossings - and, above all, more deaths. Moreover, it is often the only solution to offer people lasting protection and to enable them to build a new humane future in peace. By being accepted into an industrialised country, the weakest among the refugees are given the chance to lead a normal life. Save Me aims to increase Germany's resettlement capacity and to accompany resettlement refugees on their first steps as well as to create a publicity for this group of refugees and to establish and improve resettlement structures - both in the community and nationwide. MENTORSHIP The work of Save Me Munich wants to make it easier for refugees to get started and integrate in Munich. Our mentoring programme therefore brings locals and "Zuagroaste" together. Save Me mentors agree to welcome refugees in Munich and, within the bounds of their possibilities, actively help to make the start in Germany and their everyday life easier for those arriving. The mentors act as a bridge between the social environment and the refugees. For example, they help children with their homework, adults with learning German, help them to understand official letters or to find a training place or flat. In addition, there is the possibility of organising leisure time together in the form of excursions or city tours and exploring the new home country.

Das Resettlement-Programm bietet geflüchteten Menschen eine sichere Alternative und verhindert gefährliche Fluchten und Überfahrten – und damit vor allem weitere Tote. Zudem ist es oftmals die einzige Lösung, um Menschen dauerhaft Schutz zu bieten und ihnen eine neue menschenwürdige Zukunft in Frieden zu ermöglichen. Durch die Aufnahme in einen Industriestaat erhalten die Schwächsten unter den Flüchtlingen die Chance auf ein normales Leben.
Objectives
Save Me hat das Ziel Deutschlands Resettlement-Kontingent zu erhöhen und Resettlement-Flüchtlinge auf ihren ersten Schritten zu begleiten sowie eine Öffentlichkeit für diese Flüchtlingsgruppe zu schaffen und Resettlement-Strukturen aufzubauen und zu verbessern – sowohl in der Kommune, als auch bundesweit. PATENPROGRAMM: Die Arbeit von Save Me München möchte Flüchtlingen den Einstieg und die Integration in München erleichtern. Unser Patenprogramm bringt daher Einheimische und „Zuagroaste“ zusammen. Save Me-Paten und Patinnen erklären sich bereit, Flüchtlinge in München willkommen zu heißen und helfen im Rahmen ihrer Möglichkeiten aktiv mit, den Ankommenden den Start in Deutschland und ihren Alltag zu erleichtern. Die Patinnen und Paten übernehmen eine Brückenfunktion zwischen dem gesellschaftlichen Umfeld und den Flüchtlingen. Sie unterstützen beispielsweise Kinder bei den Hausaufgaben, Erwachsene beim Deutschlernen, helfen beim Verstehen behördlicher Schreiben oder bei der Ausbildungsplatz- oder Wohnungssuche. Darüber hinaus besteht die Möglichkeit gemeinsam die Freizeit in Form von Ausflügen oder Stadtrundgängen zu gestalten und dabei die neue Heimat zu erkunden.
