Sankofa e.V

Sankofa is a trilingual (German, French & English) parent initiative day care centre for children between 1 and 6 years of age with a crèche and an elementary section. Sankofa provides a safe place for Black, African and Afrodiasporic children to develop freely and develop a healthy sense of self. At Sankofa, our children practice empathetic and respectful interaction with each other and our environment. This warm and loving environment requires empathetic educators on the one hand and diverse educational materials that reflect the realities of our children's lives on the other. At Sankofa, we explore new ways to promote self-confidence, empathy & respect, creativity & imagination, critical thinking & problem solving skills.
