Verband afghanischer Organisationen in Deutschland e.V.

VAFO consists of eleven non-profit organizations that have joined forces to form a nationwide association. As an association, VAFO has set itself the goal of strengthening and professionalizing its member organizations in Germany and representing their common concerns and interests at national and international level. Its members operate in six federal states - Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Hamburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony - and are primarily involved in the areas of education, medicine, development cooperation, research, politics, integration, counseling, women's empowerment, art and culture. In their work, the associations not only support people from Afghanistan, but also other people who have flight and/or migration background.
