SEND e.V.
In Mai 2017 the association Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND e.V.) was founded and is still in the set-up. It stands for a new kind of social movement aiming to wake and shake up the business and political world and promote and co-create social entrepreneurship in Germany.
Whereas technological innovations are strongly supported, social and societal innovations are often left to their own devices. This needs to be changed. Germany should and can become a leading position when searching for path-breaking solutions giving response to challenges concerning the whole society.
Social Entrepreneurs can find, test and promote this kind of solutions. However, a certain know-how and strong network which supports in cross-sectoral issues (i.e. financing, talent training) and represents them in the political world is needed. To create and take care of this network – and to demand as well as foster support from politicians – some stakeholders (i.e. Ashoka, Cool Ideas Society, Impact Hub, Social Impact, Startnext, Talents4Good, tbd*) have founded an association.
