Schön. dass ihr da seid!

The initiative Schön, dass ihr da seid! is made up of an ever-evolving group of engaged Berliners in the Neukölln area who are committed to furthering and sustaining a culture and praxis of solidarity. The initiative was formed during the euphoria of the „summer of migration“ in 2015, and since then we have witnessed the shift, both here and abroad, towards tighter border control and increasing deportation, the rise of right-wing populism and racism. This makes the local, grassroots initiative and activism of aware and engaged Berliners as crucial as ever. The festival provides a space for new and old residents to meet, interact and network to this end.
