Bürgerjournalisten e. V. is the association behind the non-profit, (participatory) online newspaper Be-The.News.
Our association promotes citizen journalism by offering people the opportunity to actively participate in reporting and creating content.
The aim is to create local news, advice articles and social issues by the community for the community.

Target group(s)
Our target groups are committed citizens who want to actively participate in reporting and social discussions, as well as young people, whom we support through educational programs in the field of journalism.
We also target students and young adults who want to gain practical experience in journalism through internships or projects.
Another important target group is senior citizens, especially early retirees and retired teachers who would like to contribute their experience and time to social engagement.
Finally, we offer local associations and organizations a platform for disseminating their concerns and news

Bürgerjournalisten e.V. is currently financed mainly by donations, membership fees and voluntary work.
Objectives
Bürgerjournalisten e.V. is committed to actively involving citizens in reporting and social dialog. In addition to promoting media skills and a reflective approach to current issues, a particular focus is on strengthening social commitment and encouraging people to contribute their experiences and perspectives for the benefit of the community. We want to support an informed, committed and united society through a wide range of projects and educational programs.
Your support helps
Your collaboration will help to strengthen participatory reporting, make local and socially relevant topics visible and promote media literacy in the community. You will also help to promote social projects and educational initiatives that encourage dialog between different generations and population groups.
