Objectives
365 days a year, we look after seriously ill children and young people aged 0-27 during the day. Up to 8 children come to Theodorus every day and are cared for by our nursing staff. The focus is on ensuring that the children and their families feel safe and accepted. It is all the more important that they can return home to their familiar surroundings in the evening. Our day hospice concept is unique in Germany. With our special offer, we want to give affected families relief in their difficult everyday lives.
Since 2013, we have been able to provide a total of 58 children and young people with support and care at the Theodorus children's day hospice. Our service is completely free of charge for affected families and we finance our work from health insurance funds and donations.
