Since our foundation in 1934, we have been passionately committed to the rights and welfare of animals. Our dedicated members are active locally in Wunstorf, Neustadt a. Rbge and the surrounding region, while our umbrella organization, the German Animal Welfare Association, supports our mission throughout Germany, Europe and the world. Together with 550 affiliated animal shelters and more than 800,000 members, we are committed to the protection of every animal. For our environment, for nature and ultimately for all of us.

Funding
We are funded by a combination of sources to cover our operating costs and ensure the care of the animals. The main sources of funding are: Donations from private individuals, sponsors, membership fees, fundraising events, legacies and bequests, public grants and subsidies, adoption fees.
