With 191 National Societies, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is the largest humanitarian organization in the world. The DRK Kreisverband Rhein-Erft e. V. is part of this worldwide community, which has been providing comprehensive assistance to people in conflict situations, disasters and health or social emergencies for over 160 years, solely according to the degree of need. In the spirit of humanity, we are committed to the life, health, well-being, protection, peaceful coexistence and dignity of all people. Our idea is supported by over 100 million volunteers and members worldwide. In Germany alone, around four million members are involved. The German Red Cross, as the national Red Cross Society and umbrella organization of non-statutory welfare services, is committed to the seven Red Cross principles.
