DUO - Schöne Stunden für Menschen mit Demenz

DUO is mainly financed by municipal funding as well as donations and foundation funds.

DUO places volunteers to provide hourly care for people with dementia who live at home. The volunteers undergo preparatory training and then visit one or more people with dementia, usually for two to four hours a week. We support their commitment through an exchange of experience, supervision and regular further training. The families are also given personal advice and the support is monitored on an ongoing basis.

Your involvement helps people with dementia to continue living independently in their own homes. You also help to relieve the burden on their relatives and contribute to our approach to dementia as a community task.
