ONE DAY e.V.

ONE DAY e.V. is committed to equal opportunities so that prosperity and happiness are not reserved for the few. Through projects in Germany and crisis regions around the world, we support disadvantaged children and young people who suffer from trauma, lack of education or exclusion. Our aim is to reduce injustice and create real opportunities.
We are always looking for volunteers to support us at events where we raise funds to finance our projects. These include, for example, flea markets, festivals and smaller events in our store café.

Objectives

To help people, especially children, to develop healthily in order to enable them to have a self-determined future. The association is committed to strengthening children's rights and pursues the goal of bringing sustainable change in all its projects. The focus is on helping people to help themselves, with an emphasis on communication at eye level.

Here is a brief summary of our projects:

Hope Shelters (Sierra Leone)
With our HOPE project, we support young girls who have been victims of violence and sexual abuse. We offer them hope and support on their way back to life.

Project Kalia (Sierra Leone)
Since the Ebola epidemic in 2014, the Kalia project of ONE DAY e.V. has been supporting orphans in Sierra Leone by providing medical care, access to education and the development of self-sufficiency opportunities in order to create long-term independence for the community.

Kibera Talents (Kenya)
ONE DAY e.V. supports children in the Kibera slum in Kenya through educational sponsorships to give them the chance of a better future and to help them overcome their lack of prospects in the long term.

New Hope School (Sierra Leone)
We are planning to build the New Hope School in Newton, Sierra Leone, to give children easier access to education through a safe school close to their homes and to give them a better future.

Project Shine (Sierra Leone)
Project Shine uses yoga to teach street children in Sierra Leone violence prevention, education and emotional coping strategies so that they can reduce stress and discover their own strength.

Serria Leone goat farm
Together with the BRAND RECYCLING GROUP, we are building a goat farm in Sierra Leone to promote economic independence, create jobs and offer women a sustainable alternative to female genital mutilation (FGM).

Chicken farm Makeni (Sierra Leone)
We have been running a chicken farm at the shelter in Makeni since 2023 to ensure food security for the residents, create economic prospects and enable women to achieve long-term independence through training in animal farming.

"Place of Kindness" shop-café (Germany)
Our "Place of Kindness" café in Aschaffenburg combines a café, charity store and event venue to support the ONE DAY e.V. association and promote projects for children and human rights with every purchase.

Breastfeeding and nutrition café (Germany)
"A Place to Feed" is a joint project of Frauenstark GbR and ONE DAY e.V., which offers expectant mothers and new parents a safe space for rest, support and networking every Monday in Aschaffenburg, with qualified midwife care and opportunities for exchange.

The Artgerecht impulse lectures with Annabel Annemüller in our store café offer parents valuable knowledge and practical information on how they can accompany their children in a bonding and needs-oriented manner according to the principles of human evolution and biological development.

Living inclusion - diversity as a strength (Germany)
ONE DAY e.V. is committed to inclusion and the participation of people with disabilities in society and the labor market through educational work, events and work integration in order to break down barriers in people's minds, language and environment.
